Tom Hiddleston: Thor And Loki's 'Avengers' Fight Is The Toughest

Tom HiddlestonThe one thing missing from Entertainment Weekly's meaty "Avengers" feature in this week's issue is Tom Hiddleston.

Even though we've managed to glean a few details about the master of mischief's plans for the Avengers from the man himself, there can never be too much news about Loki or Hiddleston, as far as this writer is concerned. [Editor's note: seriously, she's obsessed. -JW]

Thankfully Total Film has filled the void with a very intriguing new interview with Hiddleston wherein he addresses some specifics with regard to Loki's individual fights with each Avenger, and which one of them proves to be the biggest challenge.

"The fun thing about Loki is that he goes 1-on-1 with every single Avenger," Hiddleston told the magazine. "Loki has become so menacing that they all have to team up and overcome their differences to stop him."

Speaking to how exactly those 1-on-1 bouts play out, the charming Brit offered up a nice bit of teasery as to who gives him the most trouble.

"I think I can dismiss the mere mortals, so Captain America may be a super soldier but he's still a man and he's up against Loki, who's a God. I think Iron Man's blasters hurt a bit… But I think it comes down to his thunderous brother. No one is harder to fight than his brother because there's all that angst within him. Thor still comes out on top."

Not a big surprise there, since we can't really have Loki as the big winner (even though I think that would be way more fun, at least for the first movie). And much like everything we've heard about how warm and fuzzy the vibe has been on set, the charming Brit had nothing but praise for his co-stars and director Joss Whedon.

"It's been the most incredible privilege to work with my own heroes," Hiddleston said. "The greatest superheroes in the world played by some of the greatest actors in the world."
