Now that we've finally officially seen Mark Ruffalo's version of the Hulk in the first trailer for "The Avengers," it's time to get to know a little more about the green guy.
The "never before seen" footage from this weekend's New York Comic-Con centered around Black Widow, Bruce Banner and his Avengers recruitment. We saw the strides Banner has made to control his temper, but—as we know from the trailer—things aren't going to stay that way for long.
The trailer also hinted at tensions among the members of Earth's Mightiest Heroes. If Captain America and Iron Man can't get along, what are we to expect from the Hulk? We asked Ruffalo shortly after his surprise appearance at the NYCC "Avengers" panel how the Hulk will cope with having to play for a team.
"I think he has some team playing issues. I would definitely say that off the bat, yes," Ruffalo said. That may be an understatement, but how could the Avengers ever truly assemble if the Hulk wasn't going to play along? Ruffalo hinted at a more conscientious Hulk. "He might be heading more towards being a team player than ever before. He has some serious ball hog issues, I would say, in general," Ruffalo continued.
This may be the biggest struggle for Bruce Banner in "The Avengers." We've seen him battle himself so many times that working with a new group of super-sized egos could be his biggest test yet.
