Amazing Spider-Man

"The Amazing Spider-Man" just isn't done with New York. And why should he be? The web slinger is as close to his New Yorker identity as he is to that taught spandex suit. But even superheroes don't get everything right the first time, and as it turns out, director Marc Webb's leaner, realist rehash of Spidey's story needs to visit home base again for some second unit re-shoots.

Comic Book Movie found a casting call for "Fiona's Tale"—the working title for "The Amazing Spider-Man"—calling an assemblage of extras for an 11/17 shoot. The call, replicated below, specifically seeks extras already in possession of the NYPD uniform:

FIONA'S TALE IS BACK AND WE ARE FILMING ON THURS 11/17. WE ARE LOOKING FOR MEN & WOMEN WITH THE NYPD UNI FOR POSS WORK ON 11/17. PLEASE INDICATE IF YOU ALREADY WORKED ON THE MOVIE AND WHAT YOU DID ON IT. NO PHONE CALLS OR EMAILS.

No word on specific city coordinates yet, so everywhere is game for New Yorkers to spot No Parking signs for "Fiona's Tale"

The trailer for "The Amazing Spider-Man," which hit the web in July, displayed a poignant view of Peter Parker's origin not so far explored, and drew polarized interest in 30 final seconds of roller-coaster-ish first person perspective from the nimble hero. The film swings into theaters next July.
