Bane's 'Dark Knight Rises' Voice: The Parodies Rise

So what if you can't understand every single thing that Bane says in "Dark Knight Rises"? If that's how Christopher Nolan wants it, I say, trust the man. He hasn't let us down yet. Besides, Bane's often unintelligible drawl isn't all bad… it's certainly provided some of the funniest laughs on the 'net this month.

Case in point: this Bane parody video, unearthed by the good folks at Bleeding Cool. As with many previous "Dark Knight" parodies, this latest video pokes fun at Christian Bale's ridiculous Batman voice with the new addition of the back-breaker and his mechanical, German growl.

The two meet on a Gotham City rooftop with an unwitting Jim Gordon forced to listen to their back-and-forth verbal battle. Hilarity ensues… assuming you can understand what anyone's saying, that is. Maybe not the best executed Batman parody out there, but still, it shows the comedic potential of Bane's controversial chatter.

Beyond that video, Bane's bizarre speech pattern has been made fun of in textual form through a variety of parody Twitter accounts including @RisesBane and @MuffledBane. It's nearly impossible to understand what any of their tweets actually mean, but if and when you crack the code, the results are comedy gold.

For example, from @MuffledBane: "Lkknng vevryvwre vur a rdd nn grrrn mssk vur Xmas. Strrrs nn Gtthhm scck!!"

And from @RisesBane: "Wwem gumma wompdem do, derektik abendue...and demmen tagen hyba!"

It's going to be a long year, guys.
