'Avengers' Photo Shows Captain America And Thor, Quinjet Concept Art Revealed?

It's a brand new Friday, which means it's time for brand new pictures from the set of "The Avengers."

Avengers

First off, there's this shot of Thor and Captain America looking quite heroic as they survey a busted NYC street, courtesy of USA Today. You've probably seen this scene countless times in trailers, but they look pretty cool here so we'll allow it. We wonder how much of the movie will feature a maskless Captain America -- the helmet makes for hood cranial protection, yes, but it takes us away from Chris Evans' dreamy mug. Oh, it's so dreamy.

There's also some new concept art from the film involving the Quinjet, the Avengers' famous plane that they ride around in. Photoshopped flame trails aside, the Quinjet looks as modern and sleek as you'd imagine it to be. It gets destroyed a lot in the comic books, so we'll see if the movies will follow suit. The Avengers had better be careful -- there's a lot of taxpayer dollars tied up in each one of those things.

As we approach the film's summertime release, we're finding more and more every week. A few days ago, Mark Ruffalo told us that the movie has a message; before that, we found out that it's being converted to 3D, but not obnoxiously so. Next, we'll find out that the Avengers are in our hearts, where they've been all along. What better way to celebrate the new year?
