Consider this sentence the equivalent of me jumping up and down, waving red flags and shouting, "MAJOR 'DARK KNIGHT RISES' SPOILERS! MAJOR 'DARK KNIGHT RISES' SPOILERS!"
As tight-lipped as almost every cast and crew member of Christopher Nolan's final Batman movie has been, there is bound to be a slip-up or two. Not everyone can be as vigilant at protecting Gotham's darkest secrets as the Caped Crusader, and inevitably, details from the "Dark Knight Rises" set make their way onto the internet.
The latest rumor comes, like they usually do, from an unlikely source. Find out what we now know after the jump.
Last May, twelve-year-old Joey King joined the cast in an unnamed role, something we've become used to with Nolan's Batman films. Rumors ran rampant about who the young girl could be playing, with many positing that she would likely play the young version of Talia al Ghul.
Even though we technically haven't had confirmation that modern-day Talia al Ghul is even film, everyone assumed that King was brought aboard to play a young Marion Cotillard, opposite Josh Pence's Young Ra's al Ghul in a flashback.
Hypothesize no more, Batman fans. In a recent interview with My Entertainment World, King admitted that she is indeed playing the young Talia al Ghul. "I can't give too much away because I promised Mr. Nolan I wouldn't say anything," she said immediately after. "There are too many secrets about the character and the movie." Oh, you poor, naïve girl.
With Talia's presence now confirmed, there is little to no reason to not assume that Cotillard will be playing anyone else but Ra's daughter. At this point, the biggest plot twist would be if Cotillard isn't playing Talia.
