No big deal or anything, but there's a new trailer for "The Avengers" or "Avengers Assembled," depending on whether your country won the Revolutionary War or not. This is the first look at the superhero all-star game since the extended Super Bowl ad convinced us of the potential awesomeness.
And to think, all it took was putting Cap, Iron Man, Thor, Hulk, Hawkeye and Black Widow on the screen at the same time. For the new trailer, they've added that same round robin shot, plus we get the added benefit of seeing Hulk's beautiful mug up front and center at the beginning. Now, on top of that, we have an even newer trailer and even more of Manhattan to watch an alien race destroy. Watch for yourself after the jump.
Speaking of that alien race bent on the destruction of our planet, we're still not entirely sure who they are. Kevin Feige says, "No Skrulls." That odd toy set says, "Probably Skrulls." My grandma says, "What are Skrulls." Predictably the new trailer doesn't shed any extra light onto the subject, but we get a glimpse at an enormous air vehicle, close on the tail of Iron Man.
What we do know, however, is much less exciting. Captain America aka Steve Rogers will be the main hero of the story, which finds Loki returning to Earth with his eyes and winged out hair set on ruling our measly little planet and having people bow down before him, as we see in the trailer. He'll have some help in the form of those pesky aliens.
