'Avengers' Japanese Banners Show Off Internal Teams

Some new international banners and a Japanese poster for "The Avengers" have hit the web. They both tease different elements of the Avengers dynamic that we can look forward to in the upcoming Marvel film.

The international posters pair our favorite crime-fighting superheroes off in a way that seems to imply how they will group up in the film. Iron Man and the Hulk can be seen battling evil forces together (and we already know that they're friends), Hawkeye and Black Widow work together, and Captan America and the Thor seem really peeved at something off in the distance.

The Japanese poster, by contrast, shows the dual side of each character's personality. In the forefront, we see the Avengers in their civilian forms, as Tony Stark, Bruce Banner, Steve Rogers and the like. But then in the background, we see each of them as the superheroes we all know and love. It's a cool way to showcase the duality of these characters.

This does raise an important question for us though: Should we be spending more time in Japan and other foreign countries? Between these banners and the Japanese trailer released earlier this week, they have been getting some pretty cool content that we aren't privy to over here (except, you know, by means of the internet).

Then again, we also got our own fair share of cool banners recently, so I guess we shouldn't be complaining. Besides, who can grumble about too many "Avengers" banners?

Directed by Joss Whedon, "The Avengers" stars Robert Downey Jr., Chris Evans, Mark Ruffalo, Chris Hemsworth, Scarlett Johansson, Jeremy Renner, Tom Hiddleston, Stellan SkarsgÄrd and Samuel L. Jackson. It's due in theaters on May 4.
