Joss Whedon Wants "The Avengers 2" To Be "Smaller"

In an interview with SFX (via DigitalSpy), Joss Whedon has already started talking about what he wants to change in "The Avengers 2." He told the magazine that he plans on topping his upcoming Marvel film "By not trying to. By being smaller. More personal, more painful. By being the next thing that should happen to these characters, and not just a rehash of what seemed to work the first time. By having a theme that is completely fresh and organic to itself." Well said, Whedon, well said.

"Cabin In The Woods" Director Has Seen "The Avengers" And Loves It

When Collider recently caught up with "Cabin in the Woods" director/writer Drew Goddard, they couldn't resist asking him if his co-writer Joss Whedon had shown him an early cut of "The Avengers." Turns out he has seen it, and he loves it. "As a life-long Avengers fan and as a Joss fan, I couldn't be happier," Goddard told the website. That's an endorsement we like to hear.

Tom Hiddleston Explains Loki's Motives In "The Avengers"

Another nugget from "The Avengers" edition of SFX has made its way online thanks to ComicBookMovie.com, this time having Tom Hiddleston talk about his villainous character Loki. "At the beginning of 'The Avengers,' you see the beginnings of what Loki is planning and if he doesn't belong in Asgard, where might he belong? In that tragic place of confusion of 'Where do I belong in this universe?' Loki's answer is 'I will make myself belong,' which is dark and menacing and dangerous," Hiddleston said.

Joss Whedon Talks Iron Man's New Suit

Lastly, Empire recently caught up with Whedon and asked him about the changes in Iron Man's new suit in "The Avengers." "Marvel said, 'We like to see the suits evolve,'" he explained, "and I said, 'Great! Then you're going back to the circle because the triangle is ass'. I'm a classicist. The circle has meaning, the triangle does not."
