A super soldier, a demi-god, a couple of master assassins, genius-billionaire-playboy-philanthropist and a Hulk. All six assemble in the latest 30-second TV spot for "Marvel's The Avengers."
The latest addition to Marvel's collection of TV spots is ultimately a Spark Notes synopsis for the movie. Captain America, Iron Man, Thor, Black Widow, Hawkeye and Hulk have teamed up to fight Loki, who is back to wreak more havoc after he was defeated in "Thor." He may have an army, but they have a lean, green, Hulk-smashing machine.
Honestly, we're glad Marvel seems to just be reusing the same footage that we've seen in the past for these new trailers. It feels like we've been seeing a whole heck of a lot of "Avengers" promotions in recent weeks, but in all likelihood that's because we can't freaking wait for the movie to hit theaters. And at least we have less than a month left until the flick hits theaters. (25 days to be exact, but who's counting?)
"The Avengers" hits theaters on May 4. Directed by Joss Whedon, it stars Chris Hemsworth, Chris Evans, Robert Downey Jr, Mark Ruffalo, Scarlett Johansson, Jeremy Renner, Samuel L. Jackson, Tom Hiddleston and Cobie Smulders.
