The Avengers

In less than a week and a day, "The Avengers" is going to soar into theaters near you and, judging by the overwhelmingly positive response to the flick so far, melt your brain and ruin you for other movies forever. We have reached "Avengers" fever pitch right now, with Marvel releasing a clip a day from the film and seemingly everyone and their mother talking to the cast. And now the studio is going to allow fans to hear directly from the stars.

Marvel has released videos of the full "Avengers" press conferences they held to promote the movie. The first features Kevin Feige, Samuel L. Jackson, Chris Hemsworth, Robert Downey Jr., Chris Evans and Mark Ruffalo and runs about 25 minutes in length. In the second, it's Cobie Smulders, Jeremy Renner, Joss Whedon, Tom Hiddleston and Clark Gregg chatting away for about 29 minutes. Be warned, spoilers lie ahead in the videos.

Meanwhile, "The Avengers" is already busy breaking box office records. It now is the proud owner of the second highest opening day for a movie in Australia of all time, following behind "Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 2." And "The Avengers" is now Taiwan's biggest Wednesday opening day, biggest opening day of 2012 (so far) and the second biggest Marvel opening. We can only imagine how well the film is going to do when it opens in the UK tomorrow.

Directed by Joss Whedon, "The Avengers" stars Robert Downey Jr., Mark Ruffalo, Chris Evans, Chris Hemsworth, Samuel L. Jackson, Tom Hiddleston, Scarlett Johansson, Jeremy Renner and Cobie Smulders. It's due in theaters on May 4.
