Good morning, Splash Page readers! Few better ways to push us through hump day than with some brand new "Avengers" photos, featuring two of Earth's mightiest heroes and one of their bosses, right? Let's get right to it!
Up first is a shot of the Iron Man armor, complete with the triangular arc reactor. With chest thrust out and eyes aglow, Tony Stark's metallic alter-ego certainly looks ready to get down to business… and as we saw in yesterday's electrifying clip, that armor is certainly well equipped to take on the godly powers of the mighty Thor.
Next we see secret agent Natasha Romanoff, better known by her code name Black Widow, tied up to a chair and looking intently at something off-screen. The shot comes directly from the first "Avengers" clip that was released, featuring Widow kicking the snot out of a pack of terrorists despite being restrained the entire time. Said it before and will say it again: Black Widow is a badass. "Avengers" only goes to prove that further.
Finally, the only other prominent woman in the otherwise all-boys club: Maria Hill, the by-the-books S.H.I.E.L.D. agent played by Cobie Smulders. All current evidence points towards Maria staying on the S.H.I.E.L.D. Helicarrier for the vast majority of the film, but as long as Smulders plays the character with all the frostiness we know and love from the comics, we'll be pretty happy over here.
