Avengers

by Ryan Rigley

Fanboys, assemble! The track list for the "Avengers" score, composed and conducted by Alan Silvestri, is now available on Amazon. Although the score itself won't be available for purchase until April 20, the names of the tracks alone have got us here at MTV News speculating about what each of these songs could possibly mean for the film.

It's a pretty safe bet that "Assemble" will come into play sometime either before or after someone says "Avengers assemble," which they surely will, despite there being no confirmation of it occurring in the script yet.

» "Doors Open From Both Sides"

Clearly, this song has something to do with Loki entering our realm. It's dark, terrifying and the perfect background music for the god of mischief's first appearance. Judging by the title, Loki will most likely have to open either metaphorical or physical doors from both our dimension and his in order to free himself from whatever type of prison he's been banished to since his evil doings in "Thor."

» "Stark Goes Green"

This one's fairly obvious. Tony Stark will either have to locate Bruce Banner, a.k.a. the Hulk, or convince him to join the team in some way. Both Robert Downey Jr. and Mark Ruffalo, who play Stark and Banner respectively, have previously stated that the two characters share a sort of unspoken bond being that they're both men of science. And we highly doubt that this song is about Tony Stark recycling.

» "Don't Take My Stuff"

When several huge personalities are put in the same room, there's bound to be some sort of disagreement eventually. This song probably highlights that conflict and the ways in which the Avengers will have to learn how to work together as a team, as opposed to arguing about whose stuff is whose and whether or not they should or shouldn't be taking it. They're superheroes, not kindergarteners.

» "Performance Issues"

Sounds like the Avengers are going to get off to a rough start, which is to be expected with any new team. Maybe the fight doesn't seem to be in their favor at first, but we're almost positive that they'll be tipping it in the other direction within a matter of minutes. After all, this is Earth's mightiest heroes we're talking about! They should be able to defeat one measly god of mischief and a few little aliens.

» "I Got A Ride"

Odds are that this song is referring to the Leviathan that can be seen at the end of the second trailer. There was speculation that the aliens in Loki's army would be able to ride this mysterious beast, so maybe some of our favorite superheroes can take advantage of that as well. Either that or Captain America will be riding on top of Iron Man, flying into the heat of battle. Actually... now that we think about it, that second one sounds way cooler.
