() -- For Carnie Wilson, one of 2011's ups was something she'd like to bring down: her weight.
"I've had so much stress in the last year, so it's really a struggle," the singer and TV star, 43, whose "Celebrity Wife Swap" episode airs Tuesday, tells FOX News. "I'm definitely up in weight."
As for the future, she adds: "I'm looking forward to getting an exercise routine again. It's like a daily decision. Am I going to eat healthy today or am I going to make some sh--y decisions?"
But staying in shape has only gotten more difficult since she overcame another struggle, she says: addiction.
"I can't smoke a joint. I can't have a glass of wine because I want 10 joints and 10 glasses of wine," says Wilson, who after undergoing gastric bypass surgery in 1999. "That's my obsessive compulsive and addictive behavior. I've really struggled since I've become sober."
Although she says being a working mother has contributed to the pressure in her everyday life, she doesn't hide her battle with her weight from daughters Lola, 6, and Luciana, 2.
And when it comes to setting an example, she looks to her daughter Lola, whom she calls "an active child" who sometimes takes after her mom.
"Lola knows I struggle with it. I see Lola loving sugar like all the other children, but I also see her pay a little more attention. Like when there's a birthday party, I see her being the first in line to get the cake. I see me in her."
