'Ghost Rider 3' Should Feature One Of These Villains

With the release of "Ghost Rider: Spirit of Vengeance" today (February 17), fanboys across the country are hell-bent for some hellfire. And they're sure to get more than their money's worth, what with that whole pissing fire thing from the trailer. It's plain to see that this newest Ghost Rider movie will without a doubt be better than its widely-panned predecessor. One of the main reasons being its antagonist.

This time around, ol' flamehead will be up against the biggest bad guy of them all: the Devil. Yes, it doesn't get much more evil than that. (Though Johnny Whitworth's Blackout comes close!) But far be it from us to not speculate about potential villains for the sequel. Here's a list of which evil demons we think Nic Cage should beat up next.

» Dormammu: Created by Stan Lee himself, Dormammu can best be described as "something worse than a demon." He's been around since before Hell was even created, hailing from the "Dark Dimension" of which he is ruler. Dormammu is one of the most powerful mystical entities in the entire Marvel universe. He can teleport, levitate, resurrect the dead, and shape shift. Watching him fight Ghost Rider would be awesome. Especially since both of their heads are perpetually on fire.

» Blackheart: Sure he was technically in the first movie, but that doesn't count. Blackheart was fathered by Mephisto as a result of centuries worth of murder in a small New York town called Christ's Crown. He is literally evil personified. Blackheart is inherently powerful, being a supernatural entity willed to life by an archdemon. In addition to having enhanced strength and speed, he can also travel inter-dimensionally at will. One time he ripped an entire planet apart using nothing but his mind.

» Shuma-Gorath: Best known for his appearances in the popular "Marvel Vs. Capcom" video game series, Shuma-Gorath is a being older than time itself. At the dawn of man, Shuma-Gorath was Ruler of the Earth; commanding human sacrifices on a daily basis. Now, he spends most of his days fighting Doctor Strange for the right of passage into this realm. Did somebody say team-up? Please? Shuma-Gorath is essentially impervious to anything but the most powerful of magicks and he looks like a giant one-eyed octopus.

» Lilith: Referred to as the "Mother of All Demons," this ancient demon sorceress was one of the only survivors of the fall of Atlantis. She has a tendency to birth her own demons, called the Lilin, who remain loyal to their mother until their dying day. Lilith can summon these demonic children whenever she pleases, growing more and more powerful with every new child she creates. She holds a personal grudge against Johnny Blaze and the Ghost Rider for obliterating her Lilin offspring and scattering them across the dimensions.

» Zarathos: A powerful demonic entity that thrives on torturing and devouring human souls. Zarathos is actually the source of all of Ghost Rider's powers, being the physical embodiment of the Spirit of Vengeance himself. On occassion, Zarathos has been known to wrest control over Johnny Blaze forcing him to do unspeakably evil things against his will. In the past, Zarathos has been seperated from Johnny Blaze by the archdemon Mephisto; forcing the two to compete for their freedom from the curse of the Ghost Rider. Now, that's what we call a great sequel idea!
