Mickey Rourke, Rosario Dawson Return For 'Sin City 2'

Booze-abusing, face-smashing Marv might not be good at a lot of things, but he can certainly spot a dame to kill for when he sees one. Thankfully, he'll do exactly that when the next "Sin City" movie rolls around, with Mickey Rourke fully in tow.

Robert Rodriguez confirmed to MTV News in an interview that Rourke is back for "Sin City: A Dame to Kill For," based on a lunch meeting between the filmmaker and actor this past weekend. He's not the only one returning, either.

"[Rourke is] all excited to come back, but he's probably the first one," Rodriguez told MTV of returning players. "I saw Rosario [Dawson] too. I ran into her for something else, and she's pumped. They've always been excited about doing another one, so that will be fun."

Of course, there's another big player on the field who we're waiting to hear about: Clive Owen, who played photographer turned vigilante Dwight McCarthy in the first "Sin City" movie. Dwight is the protagonist of Frank Miller's "A Dame to Kill For" story, but for the first major chunk of that yarn, he boasts a different, bald visage. It's possible that another actor might step in to play that portion of the role (and if that's the case, we've got many a casting suggestion for Rodriguez), but one hopes that Owen will ultimately show up to conclude the part as seen in the comics.

"Listen, I had a fantastic time with [Rodriguez] on that movie," Owen told MTV News earlier this year. "I thought the movie was seriously groundbreaking. I'm a big fan of it as a movie. So yeah, of course I would be interested in doing it — but I really don't know what the state of it is."
