Almost everything we've heard about the upcoming James Mangold-directed "The Wolverine" indicated that the movie would film in Logan's home territory of Canada, but a new report claims that the crew is setting up in Hugh Jackman's hometown instead.

The Daily Telegraph (via SuperheroHype) recently ran an article about the new deal that would bring the production to Sydney, Australia and inject $ 80 million into the New South Wales economy.

Previous reports had indicated that filming would take place primarily in Ontario, Canada, doubling for Japan, where the movie is supposedly set. The Daily Telegraph report did not specify whether shooting would still take place in those locations.

When MTV News spoke with Jackson last fall, he revealed that there would be more locations that just Japan. "Not all of it takes place in Japan. That's my other little tip for you," he said.

"The Wolverine" is scheduled to hit theaters on July 26, 2013.
