'The Wolverine' Will Shoot In Japan, Fox Chief Confirms

"The Wolverine" is headed to Japan. No, not just in terms of the story — we've long known that the second Hugh Jackman-starring solo Wolvie flick would take place in the Land of the Rising Sun — but now, at long last, we've received confirmation from Fox studio chief Tom Rothman himself that "Wolverine" will indeed shoot in Japan as well.



"We're doing stage work in Australia. Stage work is always inside a warehouse, so location doesn't really matter. But location work will be in Japan," he confirmed to MTV News during CinemaCon. "It's filmed in both places, set in Japan, with great numbers of Japanese actors in it."
