Patty Jenkins 'Can't Say Anything Definitive' About Directing 'Thor 2'

Thor 2"Thor 2" doesn't officially have a director yet, but by all accounts, it looks like the job belongs to Patty Jenkins if she wants it — and one of those accounts is from Jenkins herself.

In an interview with New York Magazine, the "Monster" director was asked whether or not she would be directing the "Thor" sequel as her next film. Her none too cagey response?

"I can't say, but yes," she laughed. "I can't say anything definitive, but it's exciting to be in talks with them about it."

Sounds like it's not a 100%, fully signed, sealed and delivered deal, but it feels pretty darn close based on Jenkins' remarks. Aside from kind of sort of pretty much confirming her involvement with the "Thor" sequel, Jenkins laid forth plenty of high praise for her potentially future collaborators at Marvel Studios.

"I think Marvel is really ballsy to think outside the box," she said. "And I think everyone they've talked to and hired has been interesting."

As for whether or not she's been diving into specific "Thor" stories to bulk up on her Asgardian know-how, Jenkins gave a non-descriptive reply: "Right now, I'm reading all of … I can't say."

So there you have it: some brief but tantalizing updates from the would-be "Thor" director herself. Now if someone would just ask her about casting Charlize Theron as Enchantress already…!
