Another week brings along another new clip from "Marvel's The Avengers," the upcoming superhero blockbuster starring Robert Downey Jr., Chris Evans, Chris Hemsworth… oh, you know the one we're talking about. The movie where all your favorite superheroes get together and kick Loki's butt. That one.
We're less than a month away from the film's release date, which means, yes, more clips coming at a rapid-fire pace. Today brings a brand new look at Samuel L. Jackson as Nick Fury, getting in a heated war of words opposite his S.H.I.E.L.D. subordinate and Marvel movie universe newcomer Agent Maria Hill, played by Cobie Smulders.
Smulders debuted the clip on the Late Show with David Letterman last night, and though an official version of the clip has yet to circulate, you can watch a low-quality version over at Superhero Hype. The clip features Fury and Hill exchanging words about some bad, bad, bad sounding things happening with the Tesseract, and how best to deal with the situation. Check out the transcript below.
Hill: Evacuation may be futile.
Fury: We should tell them to go to sleep?
Hill: If we can't control the Tesseract's energy, there may not be a minimum safe distance.
Fury: I need you to make sure Phase Two prototypes are shipped out.
Hill: Sir, is that really a priority right now?
Fury: Until such time as the world ends, we will act as though it intends to spin on. Clear out the tech below. Every piece of Phase Two on the truck and gone.
Hill: Yes, sir…
What happened with the Cosmic Cube? What's Phase Two? Why isn't it May 4 yet? So many questions, so little time…
