Sure, we've been getting hyped to see the Avengers, Spider-Man and Batman return to the big screen this summer, but there's another superhero who'll soon be soaring faster than a speeding bullet into a theater near you. Zack Snyder's "Man of Steel" will be coming out in 2013 (June 14, to be exact), and no one working on that film wants you to forget about it.
That's why they've decided to make an impact on us early on. Warner Bros (through the movie's Facebook page) has revealed a banner featuring the "Man of Steel" logo, and we've got to say we're pretty impressed. It's simple, it's clean, and it includes one intimidating take on Superman's iconic S insignia. The banner seems to promise the darker, grittier take on Superman's story that we've heard so much about. Now how about a trailer soon, please?
This is far from the first that we've seen of "Man of Steel." In fact, there has been plenty in the way of set pictures and images released. There's only been one official still released thus far, and it -- like the banner -- set up a Superman movie that will be darker than what we've seen before.
When MTV News caught up with leading man Henry Cavill while he was promoting "Immortals," he said he was thrilled to see the way fans got behind their new take on "Superman."
"I think the best part has been recently when people have sort of seen all the work that has gone into it," Cavill said of the fan reactions to his Man of Steel. "I think I won a lot of people over, and I felt the support really come behind me, which is a really good feeling, because when you're doing this all for [the fans], telling a story for them ... you want to do it justice."
